Ann Coulter: The Witch of the Hard-Right
I had been peacefully moving along with my summer free from politics for a short while when something happened so intolerable that it pulled me right back into that evil, dark, world of sin. Ann Coulter made statements that contained very volatile remarks toward widows of 9/11 victims. She made claim that these widows enjoyed their husbands' deaths. I have no doubt that the story has hit your ears as well. Her comments have drawn fire from Liberals, Conservatives, and those in the middle. Senator Clinton called her "heartless," and Bill O'Reilly had this to say in this week's column:
"Ann Coulter should listen to me. But she doesn't listen to anyone, so that's not going to happen. In the past, I've told Ms. Coulter that using personal attacks to make ideological points is short-term gain but not long-term pain. You can make money doing that, but respect in the mass market will elude you." (billoreilly.com)
There's even a boycott out right now:

There's even a boycott out right now:
"Assemblywomen Joan M. Quigley, D-Hudson, and Linda Stender, D-Union, called on New Jerseyans last week to stop buying the book, Godless: The Church of Liberalism, and for retailers in the state to stop selling it." -(Associated Press 6.15.06)
It's clear to everyone now that the hard-right is motivated by pure anger at this point.
I cannot say that I am surprised.
